Love Yourself | Self-care tips you didn’t know you needed

If you’re like me, you’re probably obsessed with watching self-care routines on Youtube. I watch skincare routines, hygiene routines, hair care routines, and everything in that category. I love learning new tips and seeing people take care of themselves. Self-care is so important and I’m glad we’re taking this more seriously as a society. Now, I know you’ve seen every self-care video there is like me, but I have five tips that you didn’t know you needed. 

Vitamins

I’m pretty sure you know that these are essential, maybe you don’t.  However, vitamins are so important! Our body needs different nutrients that we might not get from the things we eat. Or sometimes our bodies just need something extra. These two vitamins are really good:

  1. Probiotics ~ this will help clear out your systems. Probiotics are live bacteria that help your digestive system. They’re usually found in yogurt, but I hate eating yogurt. So I take these vitamins and I love them! They help so much with my digestive system
  2. Biotin ~ I don’t drink milk (as you can tell, I’m not a diary person). So my nails aren’t as strong as they should be. So I take Biotin. Biotin is good for your nails, skin, and hair. What I’ve noticed is that my nails are healthy, shiny, and strong. My hair also has just been really healthy too. 

Tumeric

This is great you guys. I use it as a mask on my face, I use it to exfoliate my face, and I put it in my smoothies. Tumeric has cumin in it, and cumin is which is great for so many things. It helps with inflammation and because it’s high in antioxidants, it’s great for your digestive system too.

And for your skin, turmeric can lighten dark spots and stop bacteria from spreading on your face. Because of its antioxidants, it can even reduce the appearance of stretch marks! It works so many wonders. 

Robes

Girl, if you don’t have a robe. You should get on that! Robes are amazing. You can get soft ones, silk ones, cotton ones, long ones, short ones. They are very helpful when I’m doing my makeup but what to protect my clothes. Plus, the furry ones keep you warm. Personally, they make me feel bougie.

 

Diffusers

One of the habits I’m creating this year is journaling. I actually have a list of seven habits that we all need this year here, and I go into detail about why journaling is important. But while I’m journaling, I like to turn on my diffuser. It gives such a sense of calm and relaxation~ a perfect way to start the day or to end the night. I put different essential oils in it and it makes my room smell amazing. Definitely something that everyone needs in their rooms or homes. You can find diffusers at Walmart or Amazon. Here’s one similar to mine.
